(1) The Water Corporation's databases indicate that the Perth Electorate is fully sewered. However, there is a possibility that landowners could be maintaining septic tanks for their own purposes.
(2) In the metropolitan and country areas, 23,974 lots have been serviced in this period. For the period 1994 to June 2001, 63,344 lots were serviced in metropolitan and country areas.
(3) During the 2008/09 financial year, it became obvious that significant reductions in capital spending were needed by Government. The Water Corporation was requested to find some $560 million savings, and the $85 million Infill Sewerage Program was part of those capital savings.
(4) The deferral of the Infill Sewerage Program will be reviewed annually as part of normal budget processes and decisions made depending on the financial circumstances at the time.
