OCEAN REEF MARINA
1025. Hon MARTIN PRITCHARD to the
minister representing the Minister for Lands:
I refer to question without notice
183 regarding Ocean Reef marina, and LandCorp's review of the
feasibility and technical information relating to the project, expected to be
completed by mid-2016.
(1) What was the outcome of the
review?
(2) Will the minister table the
review; and, if not, why not?
(3) Did the
review find that the City of Joondalup's financial modelling, which
shows that the project will make a return, was correct; and, if not, what did it
find?
(4) What did the review examine?
(5) What will the business case
examine that was not covered by the review?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice
of the question.
(1)–(5) Following
a review of the feasibility and technical information provided by the City of
Joondalup, it was determined that LandCorp would undertake the role of
proponent for the Ocean Reef marina development. It was also determined that a standard
project review would not be sufficient to underpin a significant financial
commitment and that a detailed business case would supersede the review process
to date. That business case is still in development.
