In relation to the Premier’s announcement that he has abolished the Department of Culture and the Arts’ TV Writer’s Award Panel, I ask:
(a) was this a committee set up to give awards to only one specific writer or is the Premier’s use of the apostrophe incorrect;
(b) what is the budgeted amount of funding this committee was supposed to disperse in 2009–2010;
(c) how much funding was dispersed;
(d) will a 2010 committee be established and who will now be making the decisions previously made by this committee;
(e) what is the budgeted amount of funding for equivalent grants in the 2010–2011 budget; and
(f) what are the cost savings from abolishing this committee and where have those savings been allocated?
