I refer to the State Government’s responsibility for regulated regional air services in Western Australia and to the service-level contract held by Rex Airlines under the Department of Transport’s Regulated Air Services framework, and I ask : (a) How many aircraft does Rex Airlines currently operate in Western Australia for regulated regional air routes, including the Albany–Perth service; (b) What contingency arrangements are in place when one or more aircraft are unavailable due to maintenance or operational issues; (c) How many Rex Airlines flight crew are currently based in Western Australia; (d) What arrangements does Rex Airlines have in place to provide replacement crew in the event of illness, fatigue, or rostering issues; (e) Under the Regulated Air Services framework, airlines are required to provide “reasonable assistance” to passengers in the event of a significant delay or cancellation. What monitoring is in place to ensure Rex is meeting these obligations; and (f) Has the Minister received any reports of failures to provide food, water, or mobility assistance to passengers stranded at Perth Airport?
