I refer to the Perth Institute for Contemporary Arts (PICA) building and ask is the Department of Local Government, Sport and Cultural Industries planning on taking over the lease of the bar area on the eastern side of the complex, and: (a) if yes, when will the department take over the lease; (b) will the department continue to run the area as a bar or licence facility; (c) why will the current operator of the bar area not be given a new lease; (d) why is it necessary to excise the bar area from the rest of the building in plans for a new lease for PICA; and (e) will PICA be granted a new lease to the rest of the building: (i) what is the period of the new lease that will be granted to PICA?
