I refer to the answer to question without notice 649 asked on Wednesday, 29 August 2007 wherein the Premier responded to my question about whether Ms Kural’s appointment to the Department of Water was a merit-based appointment by saying that the details of the appointment process have not yet been provided by the Department of Water. (1) Have the details of the appointment process been provided yet? (2) If yes, was the appointment of Ms Kural to the Department of Water a merit-based process? (3) If the details of the appointment process have not yet been provided, when will they be provided? (4) If the details have not yet been provided, would the Premier please provide the answer about whether the appointment of Ms Kural to the Department of Water was a merit-based process without me having to ask the question a third time?
