(1) Residents in Jane Brook have experienced on average 2.2 interruptions per customer for the 12 months to the 30 November 2013.
(2) The Jane Brook area is supplied by a combination of overhead and underground infrastructure.  All networks are subject to external influences that lead to outages, including environmental influences (such as birds, animals, wind borne debris and vehicles hitting poles) affecting overhead network and third party interference (eg excavations) that affect the underground network.
In addition Western Power also experienced an issue with the transformer in Huntsman Tce which resulted in multiple outages for some customers.
(3) The cause of the interruptions affecting the customers supplied from the Huntsman Tce transformer have now been rectified. Western Power expects customers will now experience a return to normal levels of supply reliability.
