Kintyre, and I ask: (a) have any of the four proposed uranium mines sought any further environmental or mining approvals under this Government; (b) if yes to (a), which project and what approvals were sought; (c) with reference to (b), have approvals been granted; (d) under this Government have any programme of
works been granted for uranium exploration; and (e) if yes to (d), will the Minister please identify where and when?

(a) Yes
(b) In addition to existing environmental and mining approvals, Vimy Resources has advised government it is seeking secondary approvals. Vimy is seeking project development approvals for the Mulga Rock Project. This includes requirements under the State Mining Act 1978 (Mining Proposal and Mine Closure Plan), Mines Safety and Inspection Act 1994 (Project Management Plan and Operational Radiation Management Plan), Radiation Safety Act 1975 (Radiation Management Plan, Storage and Transport Licences), Rights in Water and Irrigation Act 1914 (Water Licences), Environmental Protection Act 1986 (Part V Works Approval) and Shire of Menzies building permit requirements.
