PRISONERS - VOTING RIGHTS
I refer to prisoner voting rights and the recent further disenfranchisement of prisoners by the Western Australian government. (1) Does the minister agree that the government has an obligation to assist prisoners on parole and on bail to meet their legal obligations, such as voting at elections? (2) How will the minister ensure that all prisoners leaving WA prisons on parole or on bail are on the electoral roll? (3) Are application forms for the electoral roll and other information about voting rights part of the current pre-release and release packages for prisoners? Hon JON FORD
