In respect of ‘The Outcomes and Standards Framework - English’, published by the Department of Education and Training 2005, reference is made to a student knowing the conventions of language and the conventions of writing at each of the levels of writing -
(1) What are the conventions of language and writing referred to for -
(a) level 2;
(b) level 3;
(c) level 4; and
(d) level 5?
(2) Which Departmental publications that cover these conventions are available to teachers to plan the content of their programs?
(3) If the information is not provided as part of question (1) or (2), are there any approved Department conventions for the punctuation and setting-out of formal letters, indentation for paragraphs etc.?
