Judicial commission
45. Hon Dr Brian Walker to the parliamentary secretary
representing the Attorney General :
I refer the Attorney
General to the answer his predecessor was good enough to provide to me on 13 August
2024, to question without notice 841, in relation to the establishment of a
judicial commission here in Western Australia. Some eight months having past, I
ask the following.
(1) Is the Attorney committed, as his predecessor
claimed to be, to the establishment of a judicial commission?
(2) If yes to (1), is he in a position to give
this house any better timeframe in that regard than "as soon as
practicable"?
(3) If no to either (1) or (2), why not?
