BOARDING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE
1143. Hon SUE ELLERY to the Minister for
Education:
I refer to the review of the
boarding away from home allowance. What are the terms of reference and expected
timetable of the review of the royalties for regions component of the
allowance?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
The royalties for regions boarding
away from home allowance is supplement evaluation sought to assess the extent
to which improved financial support and assistance is provided to parents of
students in regional Western Australia who have no practicable alternative to
boarding away from home to attend school. The RFR BAHA supplement evaluation
has been completed by independent consultants and forwarded to the Department of
Regional Development for consideration.
