SENIORS — TRAIN STATIONS — PAID
PARKING
428. Ms M.M. QUIRK to the Minister for Transport:
I have a supplementary question.
Minister, I actually asked about seniors parking, and whether the ministerXXX ###XXXs decision to charge seniors to park at
train stations was an oversight; and, if not, how the minister can justify
charging seniors to park at train stations when the train travel is free. Is
the minister aware that seniors will now for the first time need to have credit
on their SmartRider cards just to pay for parking?

The whole decision was based around
ACROD parking. Seniors are heavily subsidised in a number of areas.
