CLIMATE CHANGE POLICY
858. Hon TIM CLIFFORD to the Minister for Environment:
I refer to the response given to
question without notice 548, asked on 4 June 2019, regarding consultation on
the state climate change policy.
(1) Will the
minister please table which industry, community and stakeholder groups have
been met with to discuss the policy, and —
(a) the dates of each meeting;
(b) the record of attendees for each
meeting; and
(c) the minutes of each meeting?
(2) What is the expected completion
date of the climate policy's accompanying issues paper?

(1)–(2) The
director general of the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, along
with the climate change unit, has progressed a range of actions. This includes
convening an interagency steering group that meets regularly. An issues paper
is in development, and we look forward to in due course engaging broadly with
the community and industry on the issue of climate change.
