Sandalwood
1158. Hon Jess Beckerling to the Minister for the
Environment:
I refer to the open
letter from traditional owners published in today's The West Australian regarding a fair wild
sandalwood quota, as well as the review of the Sandalwood (Limitation on
Removal of Sandalwood) Order (No. 2) 2015 led by the Department of
Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions.
(1) Has the minister received a draft copy of the
sandalwood order review report?
(2) When will the draft sandalwood order review
report be released for public consultation?
(3) Is a reduction in the overall wild sandalwood
take being considered by the review?
