(1) How many trees have been clearly marked for retention as
habitat trees in Mowen coups 01 and 02?
(2) Which agency marked these trees?
(3) Is the minister aware that
following logging in Mowen forest coupe 02, cell 18,
large diameter trees with large hollows were logged and stockpiled, although
smaller-diameter trees were H-marked for habitat?
(4) Will the minister order an
investigation into the trunk diameter of stockpiled logs and marked habitat
trees?
(5) Will the minister call a halt to
all logging in Mowen coups 01 and 02 until an audit
of habitat trees is concluded?

(1) The Department of Parks and
Wildlife undertook a legacy element survey to examine habitat trees and ground
log retention for Mowen 01 and Mowen 02. Habitat tree retention complied with the Silviculture Guideline for Jarrah
Forest published by the Department of Parks and Wildlife in January 2014.
