DEPARTMENT FOR CHILD PROTECTION AND FAMILY SUPPORT —
WEST KIMBERLEY DISTRICT
157. Hon STEPHEN DAWSON to the Minister
for Child Protection:
Does the minister have an answer for
me?
Hon Helen Morton : I might have. You have to ask it.
Hon STEPHEN DAWSON : I refer to the West Kimberley district of
the Department for Child Protection and Family Support and I ask as at 1 March
2016 —
(1) By position classification, how many
full-time equivalents were assigned to each office in this district?
(2) How many positions were vacant and in which offices were the vacancies
located?
(3) For each office in this district —
(a) how many children were in the care of
the CEO; and
(b) how many children were on the monitored list?

AnswerView source ↗

I thank the member for some notice of the question.
(1)–(2) The Department for Child
Protection and Family Support has advised me that it cannot provide the
information in the time prescribed. If the member had asked the question up to
1 January, the department had confirmation of that information, but because the
date asked about was up to 1 March, the department had to check everything out
and it will provide the answer to those parts of the question tomorrow,
Wednesday, 16 March 2016.
(3) (a) The number of children in care is
reported at district level to ensure reliability of data. As at 29 February
2016, there are 192 children in the care of the CEO in the West Kimberley
district.
(b) As at 5 March 2016, there were 13 cases
on the monitored list in the West Kimberley district.
