BUNBURY OUTER HARBOUR REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
Given that the government made a 2005 election promise to deliver the Bunbury outer harbour redevelopment project for the people of Bunbury and this received wide public acceptance, I ask - (1) When was the $750 000 feasibility study on this project completed, when was it presented to state cabinet and when will it be released to the public? (2) What assurances will the minister give the people of Bunbury that the government will fund the project before the next election? (3) Can the minister tell the people of Bunbury when the project will commence? Ms A.J.G. MacTIERNAN

I thank the member for the question. (1)-(3) The project has been presented to government; it was probably around June. It is in the process of being assessed in comparison with other priorities so that we can determine the staging of the project. We remain committed to the project, as we were prior to the last election. It is simply a matter of assessing this project together with the myriad projects around the state, from Wyndham to Esperance, to make sure that they can all be accommodated in a timely fashion.
