LEVEL CROSSINGS —
MAIN ROADS REVIEW
267. Ms M.J. DAVIES to the Minister for Transport:
I
refer to the Main Roads review of passive level railway crossings and advice to
Ms Lara Jensen on 2 November 2022 that the final report on this review
was anticipated within two months. I note it is now nearly six months since
that advice.
(1) Has this review been completed;
and, if so, when will it be released?
(2) At the bare
minimum, will the minister commit to replacing every Give Way sign on passive
crossings in WA with a Stop sign?
(3) Why has the government
failed to provide funding to release Western Australia's share of the
commonwealth's $180 million rail safety funding program?

(1)–(3) In
relation to that question, the answer to (3) is that it is incorrect. In
relation to the first two questions, the review has been completed, the advice
is with me and I will be making announcements very soon.
