As the minister has acknowledged
that the federal government has done little to coordinate a national approach
on climate change, will the minister please explain why he admitted during
yesterday's climate emergency motion to defer the responsibility of
addressing climate change to the federal government?

have a written answer, but I will keep it brief. We have consistently noted
that the federal government is responsible for the agreements that it has
signed. We had a fantastic debate in here yesterday about the issue of climate
change. The reality is that we are doing a lot as a state government. We put
out our draft climate policy yesterday, which I encourage the member to submit
on; we have a hydrogen strategy; and we are building Metronet, taking cars off roads.
We are delivering all those things because we care about the environment and I hope
the member does too.
