I refer to the consulting firms Deloitte and Ernst and Young, and I ask: (a) what is the total expenditure by Western Power on all services from the consulting firms Deloitte and Ernst and Young, including but not limited to consultants’ fees, fee-for-service arrangements and other contracts since 1 April 2012; and (b) will the minister provide a breakdown of the services provided to Western Power and the total value of each of the service provision arrangements?

(a) Total: $5,398,132 (Deloitte: $1,484,525.06, Ernst & Young $3,913,607.30)
This expenditure directly contributed to Western Power achieving operating cost reductions of $25.5 million during the year.
(b) No. Public disclosure of this information would adversely affect the commercial interests of Western Power in its capacity to negotiate contracts and fee for service arrangements with consulting firms in the future.
