I refer to the recent train
derailment on the Australian Rail Track Corporation track in Victoria.
(1) Has the Minister for Transport
been briefed on the derailment?
(2) If not, why not?
(3) If yes to
(1), is there any expectation that the recent derailment will have an impact on
the supply and/or price of food and other goods in Western Australia?

minister has been briefed on this matter and has been working with her
interstate colleagues and the transport industry to ensure the ongoing movement
of freight into Western Australia. For example, at the minister's
request, South Australia has agreed to allow larger road trains to operate
temporarily on the east–west route.
