I refer to the Department of Fisheries, and I ask : (a) How much funding has been provided to the Department of Fisheries to deliver its services over the past 5 years, and can a breakdown of each year be provided; (b) How does the Department report commercial catch; (c) How long does this process take for each catch; and (d) Are there any plans to increase funding for the Department to ensure its facilities can be modernised?

(a) There is no Department of Fisheries. The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD) has been responsible for the fisheries portfolio since 2017.
(b-c) Commercial catch is reported annually and the State of the fisheries: Status reports of the fisheries and aquatic resources which is published on the DPIRD Digital Library.
(d) The 2025-26 budget included a 7.6% increase to the total cost of services and funding of over $169 million in the asset investment program for DPIRD.
