(1) Circular to Ministers 14/97 was replaced by Premier's Circular 2001/14 "Guidelines for Official Travel by Ministers and Government Officers", following a review of all Circulars in 1999/2000. Premier's Circular 2004/13 "Guidelines for Official Air Travel by Government Officers" consolidated a number of Circulars relating to travel including Premier's Circular 2001/14. Premier's Circular 2007/01 has updated 2004/13 and is the most current Circular dealing with Ministerial travel. (2) Policies regarding the use of a Government credit card for travel and acting arrangements for Ministers when they are travelling are now included in the Ministerial Office Manual rather than a Premier's Circular. Premier's Circular 2004/14 (and consequently 2007/01) included a request for Ministerial offices to liaise with the Department of Industry and Resources prior to submitting overseas Ministerial travel approval forms to ensure that proposed travel is not in conflict with any confirmed travel and to allow the Commonwealth Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the overseas Western Australian Government Offices to be informed of such travel. To provide clarity, Premier's Circular 2007/01 now refers to domestic and overseas travel approval arrangements for Parliamentary Secretaries.
