BEADON BAY CARAVAN PARK
I refer the minister to the proposed freehold sale of reserve 34101, being the Beadon Bay Caravan Park in the Shire of Ashburton, for which the minister gave approval in August 2001. (1) Has the land sale been finalised yet? (2) If not, will the minister explain why? Hon ADELE FARINA

I thank the member for some notice of this question. It is important that the member understand that the proposed sale of the caravan park is on a conditional freehold basis. That means that a memorial will be placed on the land to ensure that 80 per cent of the land be used solely for the purpose of a caravan park.
