(1) As at 15
November 2013, 75 of the towers planned have been completed.
(2) Site
selection for the first round of the project focused on the north of the state
and major transport corridors.
(3) The
project is due to be completed by 30 June 2014.
(4) A
telecommunications needs assessment across each region of the state is being undertaken
in consultation with local communities, which will identify and prioritise
sites for further expansion, should additional funding be made available.
