I thank the honourable member for some notice of this question. The scientific assessment referred to in question without notice 296 referred to the entire Gnangara mound of which the 300 hectares south Whiteman Park land was a part. Appendix 6 to the Gnangara land use and water management strategy - GLUWMS - report referred to in answer (3) to question without notice 296 details the scientific reports that were relevant to the development of the GLUWMS. The 1996 report by consultants Dames and Moore titled “Review of Groundwater Protection Priority Area Boundaries Gnangara Mound” was central to the groundwater abstraction strategy and the ultimate priority 1, 2 and 3 categories that have been established under GLUWMS. The Dames and Moore report is available in the Parliamentary Library.
