I refer to Legislative Council question without notice No. 697 in relation to Community Resource Centre (CRC) traineeships, and I ask: (a) which Local Government Authorities (LGA) who do not have a CRC will be eligible for a trainee under the program; (b) how much funding will be made available to each LGA; (c) which LGA's will not be eligible for funding for a trainee position arising from their classification as a 'regional capital'; (d) who did the Minister consult with prior to making an announcement in relation to this initiative to provide trainee funding to LGA's without a CRC; and (e) what will be the total cost of providing trainees to LGA's identified in (a)?

(d) The decision was made following a review of the CRC program in 2018, and was designed to increase opportunity by allowing regional local governments to apply. A number of regional councils have expressed interest in participating.
(e) Two million dollars has been allocated to the program per annum. This is a competitive grant program for Community Resource Centres and Local Government Authorities.
