Made in WA plan
299. Hon Rod Caddies to the Leader of the House representing the Premier:
I refer to the Made
in WA scheme, which lacks clear guidelines on disclosing the origin of
materials used in these products.
(1) Will the government mandate that manufacturers
participating in the Made in WA scheme publicly disclose the proportion of imported
versus Western Australian–sourced materials in their products?
(2) If not, why not?

I thank the
honourable member for some notice of the question. I provide this answer on
behalf of the Premier.
(1)–(2) The Cook government's Made in WA
plan outlines a number of investments and policies that the state needs to
ensure that every Western Australian continues to have quality job
opportunities and our state can continue to thrive in an evolving global
economy.
