GNANGARA SUSTAINABILITY STRATEGY
I refer to the yet-to-be-released Gnangara sustainability strategy. (1) Could the minister please advise whether the strategy has been finalised by the Department of Water? (2) If DOW has finalised the strategy, could the minister please advise the date on which he received it? Hon HELEN MORTON

I thank the member for some notice of this question. The Minister for Water has provided the following response — (1) Gnangara mound is a major source of public and private users of water in Perth, and plays a critical role in drought-proofing Perth for the future. The GSS is an example of cross-government coordination to address issues that have impact on a wide range of stakeholders. This strategy is still subject to considerable public consultation. The government will examine the range of issues, the recommendations and the funding requirements, and respond appropriately when it is finalised. (2) Not applicable.
