CITY OF
PERTH BILL 2015 — NATIONAL PARTY
490. Mr D.A. TEMPLEMAN to the
Leader of the National Party:
I refer to the letter from the
member for Moore to The West Australian yesterday that stated that all National Party members of Parliament will vote
against the City of Perth legislation.
(1) Is this the position of the
National Party; and, if so, why?
(2) Has the
minister communicated this position to the Premier and to his cabinet
colleagues?

AnswerView source ↗

(1) The answer to
the first question is yes, and the reason is because the Nationals do not
support forced amalgamations.
(2) The Nationals absented ourselves
from the cabinet decision.
