(1) The components and hence the cost of secondary school uniforms varies from school to school. It is expected that the cost will be similar to that for school dress requirements that are already in place in the majority of schools. (2) The decision to implement a secondary school uniform policy was taken after community consultation indicated strong support for the change from 2006. (3) Eligible parents may receive assistance with the purchase of the school uniform under the Secondary School Allowance. Strategies are also in place in schools to support families having difficulty in meeting school dress requirements. (4) N/A
