Noting Table 2.1 of Budget Paper No. 3 shows over $1billion a year in Stamp Duty on insurance, and the previous answer to my question without notice in the 41st Parliament about the location of those insurance policies, I ask: (a) does the Treasurer have any idea, noting an estimate would be sufficient, about which locations provide Stamp Duty revenue; (b) if no to (a), why not; (c) if yes to (a), what percentage of the approximate $1billion in annual revenue is collected from homes and businesses north of the 26th Parallel; (d) does the Minister know how many dwellings or premises north of the 26th Parallel that would most likely be insured; (e) noting high premiums in the North, can the Minister have Treasury provide an estimate of the insured value of dwellings and other premises; and (f) can the Minister have Treasury estimate the cost to revenue of reforms that removed Stamp Duty liability on properties and other insured goods north of the 26th parallel?
