GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS —

17. Mr W.R. MARMION to the Premier:
I have a supplementary question. How
can the Premier honestly expect the people of Western Australia to trust anything
he says when he was briefed on the implications of the automatic train system
and he is telling Parliament that he was not?

AnswerView source ↗

I repeat for the member because he
did not listen last time: it is not an automatic train control system—okay?
It is a radio system replacement project.
Mr W.R. Marmion : You said it
was.
Mr M. McGOWAN : No, you said it was, but when you were
in cabinet and you were in government and you were there, you separated the
two, and you did not proceed with automatic train control—okay?
Mr W.R. Marmion : No.
Mr M. McGOWAN : Oh my God! You
are so bad.
The SPEAKER : That is the end
of question time.
Several members interjected.
The SPEAKER : Members, please.
