secretary representing the Minister for Transport:
I refer to the new multipurpose taxi
operators dispatch service operated by Black and White Cabs.
(1) How many
multipurpose taxi operators have signed the new operating agreement with Black
and White taxis, and how many have not?
(2) How many
complaints has the Department of Transport received from drivers and from users
of multipurpose taxis about the new arrangement with Black and White taxis?
(3) Has the
Department of Transport received any reports or complaints about unsafe
operators transporting people with disabilities?

I thank the honourable member for
some notice of the question.
(1) As at 18
October 2016, 42 multipurpose taxi operators have signed a new operating
agreement with Black and White taxis and 67 multipurpose taxi operators have
not.
(2) Nine complaints have been
received.
(3)
The Department of Transport receives, investigates and acts on complaints about
operators, including those who transport people with disabilities.
