I refer to the report of the Legislative Council Select Committee on Reserves (Reserve 43131) Bill 2003. Given that the select committee reported that it was very concerned about the performance of two departments - the Department for Community Development and the Department of Indigenous Affairs - in the events it investigated, what specific action has the government taken to ensure that - (a) the performance of DCD and DIA is examined and problems identified; (b) a procedure for best practice is implemented; and (c) suitable auditing processes are initiated and conducted?
