(2) Western Power has developed new procedures and processes to be used when engaging helicopters for line inspection and fault finding. This documentation also includes the necessity of safety induction training for Western Power personnel required to fly in helicopters. In flight procedures for both the pilot and Western Power personnel include full instructions on radio communication to a land control centre, flight path and inspection processes, flying times and maps of local areas detailing power line routes.
