SEWERAGE
INFRASTRUCTURE — CLEMATIS CRESCENT, GERALDTON
558. Mr D.J. KELLY to the
Minister for Water:
I have a supplementary question. Given that the minister has
given previous assurances that she will fix the problem and her comment that
she claims the opposition is inflaming the situation, will she undertake to
visit the residents so that she can see the extent of the problem for herself?
Mr V.A. Catania interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for North West Central, I call you to order for the first time. Member
for Bassendean, I did not have a chance to hear your supplementary question.
Please repeat it.
Mr D.J. KELLY :
Given that the minister has previously given assurances that she will fix the
problem and her claim just then that the opposition is inflaming this
situation, will she undertake to visit the site herself to experience the
extent of the problem with the residents?

I am more than happy to visit the area. In fact, the member
for Geraldton and some of the members of the Agricultural Region have raised
that issue with me. We are working on finding a time to visit the area. I have
no problems meeting with the community and I have no issues about talking to
people who have concerns.
Mr D.J. Kelly : We
will arrange it.
Ms M.J. DAVIES :
That is fine; the member for Geraldton can host me. He is well in advance of
any of the questions raised by the opposition. The local members approached me
on this and they have been working on behalf of their constituents.
Mr P. Papalia interjected.
The SPEAKER :
Member for Warnbro, I call you to order for the second time. Are you finished,
minister?
Ms M.J. DAVIES :
Yes.
Point of Order
Mr
W.J. JOHNSTON : Yesterday I rose, under standing order 80(2), in
respect of two questions to the Minister for Transport and he said that I would
receive the answers today. I have not yet received the answers and I am
wondering what the minister is doing.
The
SPEAKER : Member for Cannington, you can only ask the minister again
in another month. You cannot ask that same question today.
