YAMATJI NATIVE TITLE
CLAIM — GERALDTON
1028. Mr V.A. CATANIA to the Minister for Aboriginal Affairs:
I have a supplementary question. Can
the minister confirm that water allocation or water entitlements are part of
the native title deal?

AnswerView source ↗

As per the comments I made about the
Federal Court orders that I have, I cannot comment on what is part of the offer
made by the state. It is a very good offer. It is quite a sophisticated offer.
Nonetheless, I suspect that as the conversation takes place, the details of the
offer will start to emerge all over the midwest region. Nonetheless, as the
minister, I am not going to disobey an order of the court.
