The current vehicle used to collect and monitor participation rates in organised sport for children and adults is the Participation in Exercise Recreation and Sport Survey (ERASS). ERASS is an annual collection reporting on participation of persons 15 years and over. The survey is funded by the Australian Sports Commission and the state and territory departments of sport and recreation through the Standing Committee on Recreation and Sport.
