The term 'social' housing is used with reference to public and not for profit community housing provided for shelter of disadvantaged members of society, including the aged, jobless and disabled who may not otherwise have access to housing relevant to their needs. The Hon. Member may wish to direct the question to the Minister for Housing and Works if clarification of Government policy is required.
