Will the minister advise the house - (i) what percentage of students who continue to years 11 and 12 study a course of science; and (ii) how this percentage compares with each of the other Australian states? Hon LJILJANNA RAVLICH

(ii) Comparison of science studies in Western Australia compared with each of the other Australian states. The only science statistics available are those for 2004 and they relate only to Year 12 students who studied science for tertiary entrance. The above Western Australian statistics are for 2005 and include all students studying science in year 11 and year 12.
