(2) The Undergraduate Nursing Scholarship Agreement expired in 2002, with the Department of Health's Chief Nursing Officer since managing the granting and administration of nursing scholarships directly. There are several organisations that provide financial support to rural and remote medical practitioners including the Country Medical Foundation, the Australian Government and the WA Centre for Remote and Rural Medicine (which is partially funded by the DOH).
