I refer to the suspension and review of the Premier’s Book Awards and ask:
(a) has the review of the Awards been completed; and
(i) if so, when will the findings of the review be made public;
(b) if the Awards are to continue, will they include the same categories as previously, and will all prizes, including the History Award, be funded by the Government; and
(c) when will advertising commence for entries for the 2008 and 2009 Awards?

(a) Yes
(i) The findings of the Review were made public on 5 February 2010. The Executive summary of the external report is available on the Department of Culture and the Arts' website.
(b) For 2010 the award categories will remain the same with the exception of the History Award which will now become a Western Australian History Award for a significant historical work that makes a major contribution to the understanding of Western Australia's past. All category awards will be funded by the government. New categories may be introduced in future years.
(c) Advertising for entries for the 2008 and 2009 awards commenced on 15 February 2010 with a Call for Entries on the State Library website.
