Water infrastructure—Kenwick
992. Hon Dr Brad Pettitt to the Leader of the House
representing the Minister for Water:
I refer to the Kenwick
wastewater upgrades, first announced in May 2023 as part of strategic water
infrastructure programs, and media reports of Kenwick residents' ongoing issues
of sewage flooding and draining problems.
(1) What is the status and projected completion of
stage 1?
(2) What is the status of stage 2?
(3) What is the anticipated completion of stage 2?
(4) Why are the Yanchep water and wastewater
upgrades listed with the delivery date of summer of 2025–26 despite a
commitment in 2023 for works at Kenwick to commence first?
(5) How much longer are Kenwick residents going to
be left without access to the wastewater network and be forced to deal with
ongoing sewage flooding and drainage issues?
