(1) The current members of the Aboriginal Lands Trust are Mr Preston Thomas, Ms Shirley McPherson, Mr Les Cook, Mr Glen Colbung, and Mr Eric “Dickie” Bedford. Ms Irene Stainton, the chairperson of the Aboriginal cultural material committee, also attends meetings of the ALT. (2) The ALT is comprised solely of persons of Aboriginal descent, in accordance with section 21(1) of the Aboriginal Affairs Planning Authority Act 1972. (3) The minister has been advised that to constitute a meeting, not less than one-half of the members of the ALT must be present.
