Answer
(1) There has been no delay in implementing the Greater Bunbury Regional Scheme (GBRS) following its passage through both Houses of Parliament on 29 November 2007.
At the conclusion of the statutory process the Western Australian Planning Commission placed notices in the Government Gazette after the Christmas break on 25 January 2008 whereby the Scheme commenced operation on the following business day (29
th
). There have been information sessions for local government councillors and staff, information provided to the development industry, and an information brochure distributed to all households in the region advising them that the scheme is now in operation.
