(3) Has the Minister prepared any submissions to the Economic and Expenditure Review Committee setting out the Minister’s recommendations by which the efficiency dividend will be met within the Departments or Agencies under the Minister’s portfolios; and
(a) if so, how many?

(1) The financial situation of portfolios, and the 3 per cent efficiency dividend in particular, are regularly discussed at fortnightly meetings with departmental heads.
(2) Financial issues are discussed on a regular basis with the Treasurer.
(3) Submissions to the Economic and Expenditure Review Committee are part of the Budget deliberations and will be announced in the May Budget.
