ABORIGINAL CULTURAL HERITAGE ACT AND VOICE REFERENDUM
727. Hon NICK GOIRAN to the Leader of the House representing
the Premier:
I refer to the Premier's
answer on 20 June 2023 to my question without notice that revealed the Premier
has received a range of briefings on all
matters relevant to WA, including the government's implementation of
the newly amended Aboriginal cultural heritage laws and the impact upon Western
Australia of the proposed change to the Australian Constitution to establish an
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice.
(1) Will the
Premier table the briefing notes or similar documents he has received on the
newly amended laws and any similar documents he has received on the proposed
Voice?
(2) If not, when will he give notice to the Auditor
General, pursuant to section 82 of the Financial Management Act 2006, of
his decision not to provide this information to Parliament so that, pursuant to
section 24 of the Auditor General Act 2006, she may provide an opinion to
Parliament as to whether his decision was reasonable and appropriate?

relate to the conduct or operation of an agency within the meaning of section 82
of the Financial Management Act 2006.
