I refer to all public general and tertiary hospitals (including hospitals which treat public patients but are privately operated, such as Joondalup Health Campus), and ask:
(a) can the Minister provide a list of which hospitals pre-cook their hot meals, that is, cook of meals in advance and only complete them just prior to serving;
(b) can the Minister provide a list of which hospitals serve freshly cooked hot meals;
(c) what is the estimated average cost of a pre-cooked hot meal;
(d) what is the average cost of a freshly prepared hot meal;
(e) which hospitals use in-house catering;
(f) which hospitals use private, external caterers;
(g) listed by hospital, how many meals are served, on average, at each hospital per day; and
(h) listed by hospital, how many complaints about the food served have been received over the last 12 months?

[See tabled paper no] Please note that costs in (c) and (d) include staffing and utility costs and are based on an average cost per meal. Costs will vary due to different suppliers across regions and towns as WACHS applies the Buy Local Policy. Costs also vary across rural and remote areas.
